*The Land of Endless Night*

In the land where shadows speak,
Where ancient stones beneath our feet
Echo the cries of centuries past,
Two peoples' hopes in sorrow cast.

Under skies of endless night,
Where stars once shone, now burning bright
With fires of anger, fear, and pain—
Is there a chance for peace again?

In Israel's heart, a cry is heard,
A nation's dream, a promise stirred,
Yet in the dust where children play,
What price is paid for dreams that sway?

Palestine, with olive trees,
Roots deep as grief, yet none at ease,
With every tear, a story spun,

sad poetry
