You don’t know Blood
Until you’ve tasted mine
Filled with its hollow beating fear
Crystallized iron
Disorganized platelets in a vacuous sea
*
You don’t know Blood
Til you’ve watched it drain from your veins
A valiant escape
Only to be swept away or crushed
Under the mighty gauze
*
You don’t know Blood
It’s only thicker than water if you keep it that way
Trickling, bursting, splattering, spraying
A vindictive spurt of joy fresh from the jugular
Screaming with glee as it finally breaks free
*
You don’t know Blood
She pulses and writhes a wild beast
Coursing with violent intent
Just waiting to boil and fill your eyes blind
Finally her moment to take reigns
*
You Don’t Know Blood
She doesn’t realize what power and control she has over you
*
It never occurred to her that she’s keeping you alive
And it never will
Her tunnel vision is too narrow and all she feels is caged
*
You don’t know Blood.
You would want to if you did.
