In the depth of darkness, I can feel the light

As the sounds of nature bring me to life

The scent of roses, envoke a memory so sweet

That it touches my soul, and I feel complete

My taste buds yearn for the flavors of down home

Of a welcoming comfort and warmth, that I've always known

The feeling of warmth, like a hug from within

The love of a mother, a touch so gentle, I grin

I see the beauty of the world all around

Ahh the wonder of life, it knows no bound

The colors of the rainbow, paint the sky

The magic of the universe, always makes me cry

My senses are alive, and I feel so free

As I embrace life, the way it was meant to be

With every breath, I take

This world, and its beauty awake

So, I cry, tears of bliss

To be able to experience life like this

My senses awaken me

And, for this, I am grateful to be
