The Joy of Christmas Eve.

The spur of the heart, the trumpets boast,

A splash of wine, a hearty toast,

Laughter to lift, constant glee,

Songs then sung, rejoicefully!

Boasting of a coming night,

A miracle formed for all in sight,

With feasting of that joyful day,

Where heaven would declare its way.

A night of old and prophetic reprieve,

For hearts who then, would surely, believe,

The gifts to share, the toys to give,

For all on the earth, who dwell, and live,

Carols sung, families gather,

Surely to celebrate the heart of the matter,

So it was, for those who believe,

On that night, of Christmas Eve.
