I was cold lying there

In that big open space

And I saw you stare

That beautiful look on your face

It was then that I saw it

The reason for the change

The cold now that wasn't

All because your sweet ways

A jacket played a blanket

To keep me warm at night

I thought it was my ticket

Or my excuse to hold you tight

It couldn't stay, I was told

No matter how much I wanted

I wanted to leave you a note

But was shot down by someone I trusted

fact or fiction
