The inevitable detour

The inevitable detour

By Armstrong WendyPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

At the intersection of youth, there used to be a path looming and calling me.

My mother stopped me: "That way is impossible."

I do not believe.

"I came from that road, why don't you believe me?"

"Since you can come down that road, why can't I?"

"I don't want you to take a detour."

"But I like it, and I'm not afraid."

Mother looked at me distressed for a long time, and then sighed: "Okay, you stubborn child, that road is difficult to walk, be careful all the way!"

After I set off on the road, I found that my mother did not lie to me. It was indeed a detour. I hit a wall, fell somersaults, and sometimes bleed my head, but I kept walking and finally came over.

When I sat down to breathe, I saw a friend, naturally very young, standing at the intersection of my year, and I couldn't help shouting, "That road can't be walked."

She doesn't believe it.

"My mother came down that road, and so did I."

"Since you can all come down that road, why can't I?"

"I don't want you to take the same detour."

"but I like it."

I looked at her, looked at myself, and smiled: "Be careful along the way."

I am very grateful to her, she made me realize that I am no longer young, and I have begun to play the role of "passenger", and at the same time suffer from the "stopper" that "passengers" often suffer from.

On the road of life, there is a road that everyone must take, and that is the detour in youth. If you don't fall somersaults, don't bump into walls, and don't touch your head and bleed blood, how can you make steel and iron bones, how can you grow up?
