The Icon of the Bricks

I got now, next, and forever

By savage writerPublished 7 years ago 1 min read
I'm feelin' like i am gonna go on to be one of the greatest artists to ever hail from 973

Remember me while I’m still existing

Show me love while I’m still living

Give me props while I’m still getting myself together

I’m the icon of the Bricks

One, two –

I’m comin’ with a skill you won’t get by winging

or placing into the microwave,

the plate’s too hot for you to handle

Blew up in your face, I don’t haste in my

choice of pattern whenever I get to kicking

Aiming for your shins, better repent for your sins

I remember when it was yesterday dat’

I came to Carver constantly in flight or fight mode

Cuz’ the whole school done had it out for me

The decks have now switched hands, come on

I will demolish you all lyrically

Humiliate you enough to

bring you down to size

So dat’ u’ can feel all the embarrassment

I done felt in my earlier years

East Side was no different,

came up out of there firing flows

like slugs from AR’s and M4’s

I stir eggs and sterilize em’ how contraceptives can

I’m the icon of the Bricks

Three, four – enter, college

2 tell you the truth,

I’ve been developing my acerbity

before I even learned to open my mouth up

2 years old and I’m already reading the

Merriam-Webster perfectly

15 years old and I published my first

book all on my own

20 going on 21, the earth will be

mine, wait no –

It already is

My style of writing is in your face,

I won’t pull any punches

I’m going for the knockout,

watch you drop like Steve Jobs did college

With more usefulness than reeds

equipped to clarinets

Do you want me to continue?

I’m the icon of the Bricks

If you’re laughing at me

Saying that, clearly you are unaware of my capabilities

Foget’ tellin’

I’d rather show you instead!
