The sights are set to my target goal
Watching it so carefully as a predator
Letting the prey think they are safe
Just keep watching as the prey comes closer
Keep calm and hold my aim
Only to know the right time for the shot
Take my breath and calm my finger
Let it ring out as speeds across the field
The birds start to fly as the echo goes out
The shot hit its mark as the victim did fall
Right in the field of security and call
My breathe rebounds as I have my kill
For me just another good meal
On an animal that now is a kill

Sarah Danaher
I enjoy writing for fun. I like to write for several genres including fantasy, poetry, and dystopian, but I am open to trying other genres too. It has been a source of stress relief from my busy life.
