The Humorous Couple
A Love Story Filled with Laughter and Joy.
There once was a man from the east
Whose sense of humor could never cease
He'd tell a joke here, a pun there
And make everyone laugh without a care
He had a knack for the witty retort
And his humor was always in good sport
He'd make fun of himself and his flaws
And everyone loved him, because
He never took himself too seriously
And his jokes were always delivered mysteriously
He'd build up the punchline with great ease
And leave everyone in fits of laughter and glee
One day, he met a woman so sweet
And he fell head over heels at her feet
He tried to impress her with his humor
But found himself stuttering like a tumor
He tried to tell her a joke, but forgot the lines
And stumbled over his words like a drunk who dines
She smiled at him, and said with a wink
"Don't worry, your humor is still in sync"
He blushed at her words and regained his cool
And he told her a joke that made her drool
They laughed and talked until the sun went down
And from that day on, they were the talk of the town
They'd walk down the street hand in hand
With smiles on their faces, so grand
And people would stop and stare in awe
At the couple who could make them laugh and guffaw
Years went by, and their love only grew
And their sense of humor, still as fresh as dew
They'd tell each other jokes in the morning light
And laugh until their bellies were tight
And when they reached the end of their days
They knew they'd had a life filled with plays
And they'd look back with nothing but glee
At the laughter they'd shared, just her and he.
