The Hummingbird
I have always loved these little birds. So beautiful.

The Hummingbird
A flash of red, a streak of green,
A dance of wonder, barely seen.
With every beat of tiny wings,
A melody of freedom sings.
Among the blooms, it moves with grace,
A gentle spark, a whispered trace.
The dawn alights on feathers bright,
A jewel that glimmers in soft light.
Its heart, a drum, so fierce, so small,
Yet carries life, the weight of all.
Through endless skies, it dares to soar,
A spirit bound by chains no more.
Oh, hummingbird, so swift, so free,
A timeless muse of poetry.
You show us how, through graceful flight,
To relax in moments of pure delight.

Beautiful. I love hummingbirds. I used to watch them for hours on my parents porch where they had feeders hung.
I love these birds too! Beautifully written.
