THE HIVE

"We did not ask if he had seen any monsters because monsters have ceased to be news."

By Tammy CastlemanPublished 6 months ago Updated 6 months ago 1 min read

Muted by a P.C. world,

Pronouns are terrifying.

Which bathroom?

Are you...(insert ethnicity here)...

but don’t ask, just smile.

Did people go to the moon?

I need to rest my brain awhile.

T.J. bought a gun, and Janie

had a gun, I’m American...

Do I have a right to not bear arms?

Bare arms.

Track marks or stretch marks?

Twinkies or Fentanyl? Bodily harm.

I am neither nutritionist nor Narc...

Fake news, real news, propaganda,

Gaslighting, boundaries, narcissism,

Trauma bonds, endless “Toxic” stuff...

Fake lashes, “Real talk”, inner child,

Vaccines save...don’t save lives...

Invited to a dinner party? Just shut up.

This hornets nest is life; I’m about to poke a hive.

I loved this. So many lines had me nodding, wincing, and thinking all at once.
