What a fun first day

I was obviously still mad

About moving from North Carolina

But that was slowly disappearing

Maybe I'll sleep well tonight

The next morning, fresh 24

Mom was cooking some breakfast

Sausage biscuits, eggs, and bacon

Dad was setting up cable

Birds were chirping beautifully outside

Today might be a banger

Food was on different levels

Hitting harder than the usual

And PBS was on TV

Second day was starting great

Gotta get dressed to play

Our friends were waiting outside

And they had a kickball

No one was seeing me
