In moments dim, when hearts retreat,
And silence wraps the crowded street,
A mercy walks with unseen feet—
The hidden kindness, soft and sweet.
When burdens press upon my chest,
And time won’t pause to let me rest,
A subtle peace comes drifting near—
Not loud or clear, but strong and dear.
Behind the veil of what I see,
There lies a will that cares for me.
No leaf will fall without His word,
No cry is missed, no prayer unheard.
He shields me when I dare not ask,
He aids me in my daily task,
He paints the sky in hues so wide,
To calm the storm I hold inside.
The closed door that I begged to open,
The harsh word that was left unspoken,
The path I took, the one denied—
Were mercy cloaked in perfect stride.
He tests, but not to see me break,
He gives, but not for giving’s sake.
He hides His gifts in trials deep,
And wakes my heart from heedless sleep.
When all seems wrong and out of place,
He folds me in His quiet grace.
When nights are long and hope is thin,
He plants a garden deep within.
And though I wish to understand,
His wisdom holds me in His hand.
What breaks me now, He’ll use to build
A stronger heart, with patience filled.
He gives in ways I do not see,
Through what I lose, He sets me free.
A whispered “No” is just delay
For something better on the way.
I asked for ease—He sent me trial,
I walked through pain, mile after mile.
But looking back, the road was clear—
Each hardship drew His mercy near.
Each person gone, each plan undone,
Was just a shadow from the sun.
Each fall I feared, each loss I knew,
Revealed a path that led to You.
O Knower of what hearts conceal,
You mend before I even feel.
Your care, so quiet, so profound,
Uplifts me when I’m most run down.
In whispers of the morning light,
In gentle dreams that bless the night,
In random smiles, in sudden peace—
I taste the touch of Your release.
Your kindness wears a hidden thread,
It’s not the path I would have led.
Yet here I stand, with soul intact—
A walking proof of how You act.
Your kindness wears a hidden thread,
It’s not the path I would have led.
Yet here I stand, with soul intact—
A walking proof of how You act.
So let them wonder how I cope,
And how I hold to love and hope.
I’ll tell them this with all my breath:
My Lord is kind in life and death.
Not always loud, not always seen,
But always kind, always serene.
In every twist, in every bend,
His hidden kindness has no end.
O You who sees what none can see,
Keep writing mercy into me.
Let every tear and trial I bear
Be drenched in Your attentive care.
Let me not chase the world’s acclaim,
Let me not drown in fleeting fame.
But count me near among the few
Who live for none but only You.
And if the world grows dark and cold,
And all I love cannot be hold,
Let me recall, through joy or strife—
Your hidden kindness fills my life.
When hearts grow numb and vision fades,
And sunshine hides in silent shades,
He sends a sign within the storm—
A sacred hush, a gentle form.
A door may shut, and still I find
Another path that’s more aligned.
The thing I lost, I thought was best—
But Allah knew I needed rest.
He saved me from the harm ahead,
From words unsaid, from tears not shed.
And though I questioned every turn,
I see now what He meant to burn.
He burns the pride, the hollow need,
The thirst for things that never feed.
He strips the soul to clothe it new,
To teach me what is false, what’s true.
The world may say, “You’re far behind,”
But oh, how vast His hidden kind.
The race they run is not my own—
I walk a path to Him alone.
And in that walk, I learn to trust
That every fall, each speck of dust
Is written with a plan so wise,
More vast than stars in moonlit skies.
He placed me here, not lost, but led—
Each footstep by compassion fed.
And what I thought was far delay
Was mercy wrapped in slow ballet.
