The heartache of unrequited love

A love that's one-sided and never shared, A flame that burns only in my heart, A love that leaves me feeling scared.

A love that's one-sided and never shared,

A flame that burns only in my heart,

A love that leaves me feeling scared.

I give my all, but it's never enough,

For a love that's not returned, it's so rough.

I hold on tight, but it slips away,

Leaving me with a heart full of pain.

I try to hide it, but it's always there,

A love that I can't seem to bear.

It hurts so much, this love I've found,

A love that brings me to my knees, down.

But still I hold on, I don't know why,

For a love that's not returned, I will still try.

For though it hurts, it's a love so real,

A love that I'll cherish, a love I'll always feel.
