The lake, a mirror, holds the sky so deep,
A canvas calm where whispered secrets sleep.
No ripple breaks, no restless shadow plays,
Just silent vastness, through the sunlit days.
The ocean roars, a tempest-driven might,
Each crashing wave, a fury in the light.
Churning and wild, it knows no gentle pause,
Bound by the ancient, untamed, primal laws.
Yet, in between these poles of peace and rage,
Can solace find a more intricate stage?
A river flows, with purpose, onward bound,
Its surface calm, while life stirs all around.
A steady hum, a current deep and strong,
Where dynamic movement and quiet belong.
So too, the heart, in life's relentless chase,
Seeks quiet harbors in a bustling space.
To find that calm, within the hurried beat,
A tranquil center, bitter-sweet.
Not frozen still, nor lost in outer strife,
But vibrant peace, within the flow of life.t's Still Current
