A poem written by Devin Michael Sims
I'm sure you'd be joyous or pleasantly feeling
If you were seeing these things that I'm seeing
First time, kindergarten can't quite believe me
Energies, fractals, geometries frequencies
It’s like when you'd see Santa, or a mystical creature
They couldn't see them, and it'd only get deeper
Do you see colors?
On my palms
On your face
On the walls
Its looks like stars, it’s like stardust
Then why do I see it?
Just look, you must
Sometimes I like to lay in the dark
Then I like to bathe in the stars
See what I can create from my heart
Hey, babe look what I made yeah, it's art
These colors keep me sane, never met another that sees the same
Wet, wild boy that was chasing the rain
Embracing the days of our hands clenching dirt
Innocent daze, all the ways that we'd thirst
And I'd wonder
time and time, again and again
Asking my mother, lovers and all my friends
Do you see colors?
Like stars in the sky
Do you see patterns on the walls and the shade
I swear it’s like space, they said I’m in my own world
Thoughts kept inside, felt so out of this place
Drifting on, letting it all unfurl
It’s all around me,
All around me
I think God has been watching me
I'm in awe, astounding!
Ok, I can't be too distracted
Let me focus on a good habit
That's too many high synapses
But it’s always there, as time it passes
It'll still be, I'll still feel special
These colors make feel safe
