I miss the good old days when there was no internet.

No facebook.

No, None of this shit.

When we took pics with polaroid cameras.

Watching Saturday morning cartoons on Floor Model TV's.

We "beeped" each other with our pagers.

When food tasted like food....-

Cheese fries from "Cloptons",

Shrimp and Country Fried steak from "Sara Lou's".

When we could lamp at O'Fallon Park,

and nobody had "straps"

In the summer,

We got sprayed with water guns.

It was fun.

Now all I do now,

is clutch my purse and my gun.

It's not fun anymore.

It's like life or death.

Wrong place.

Wrong time.

Taking your last breath.

I miss the "May Day" Parade.

Now we parade online.

All of the trauma I've seen here,

could make one,

lose his mind.

Nowadays, staying alive is all about intuition.

Internet telling it all.

Gotta break the transmission.-AK
