I am the girl no one believes.

I am the girl no one believes.

I got sick when I was twelve.

No one believed me.

It took my hands turning blue

Before any one cared.

I am the girl no one believes

At sixteen my sister

Stole the money I had earned helping a neighbor

She claimed it was a present from a friend.

My parents grounded me.

I am the girl no one believes

I lost a job when a coworker told

A lie about me. She made everyone

Think I was scum

I am the girl no one believes.

A friend was kind enough

To sense some pants

When a mishap meant

I had none

My brother kept

Wearing them.

When I called him out

He said he bought them.

When I got mad.

My other brother.

Called me names.

And threatened to

Kick me out

I am the girl no one believes

.you would think I would be

Used to it. But I'm not.

Each time I'm called

A liar hurts.

Just once I would

Like to be the girl

Someone believes

sad poetry
