All that is anything carries a hue
whether it's me, whether it's you
Though our eyes are darkened from the day of birth
Vision is fostered through lessons of love and wellness of earth
All that is intended to keep us whole
is beautiful, abundant, and the most colorful
Never will it be justified to see
the difference in color
as a lack of humanity
Lack of me ... lack of you
of the trees ... and their roots
of my broccoli on the side
of my carrots on my plate
On the streets as we pass by
Contrasting in every which way
I see you as you feel me
No matter how dark or light the shade
always together, never the other
I am you ... my sister, my brother
So let color be the difference we celebrate and see
Let color be my gift to you as it is your gift to me
