The Garden's Fancy Dress Party
A Celebration of Petals and Personalities

The garden is a fancy ball,
Where pretty flowers, one and all,
Put on their very finest clothes,
And strike a pose beneath the sun's warm glow.
The Rose in velvet, deep and red,
Lifts up her proud and thorny head.
She is the queen of this fine place,
With perfume sweet and regal grace.
The Marigold, a fiery soul,
In brilliant orange, plays a role
Of cheerful, bright, and sassy cheer,
That banishes all doubt and fear.
The Sunflower, tall and bold and new,
Is dressed in happy, sunny yellow.
She smiles and waves her whole day through,
A very friendly, happy fellow.
The shy Sweet Pea, on tendrils fine,
In pink and white and purple twine,
Just whispers to the garden wall,
The gentlest flower of them all.
The Tulips, in a soldier's row,
With cups of red and gold and snow,
Stand straight and tall and never lean,
The neatest flowers ever seen.
And Daisies, in their simple white,
With hearts of gold, so warm and bright,
Are dancing in the wind's soft song,
All carefree as they skip along.
The Lavender, a haze of blue,
Makes fragrant magic, through and through,
Her scent can help you sleep at night,
And make your dreams feel soft and right.
So when you see a garden grow,
Please stop and say a quick "hello!"
Each flower has a tale to tell,
A special, living, colorful spell.
They don't need words to make you see,
How beautiful the world can be.
