The Forgotten Tome

To suppress an evil

Deep within the Vatican, they have a place,

where hidden tomes are stored.

They say things the church doesn’t want to face,

A little secret knowledge hoard.

Here I sit for hundreds of years,

information in a forbidden book.

Just bound up paranoid fears,

upon which no christian soul may look.

The light of day I have not seen,

for such a long long time.

They fear I’d from an evil being,

that would live inside of someone’s mind.

How can mere writing be evil.

Yet, how can holy scriptures be good.

Or is it the minds of the feeble,

Gasping to understand more than they should.

I don’t want to be goulash.

There will come the day that I’ll escape.

I will reek havoc on the foolish.

All done just for evil’s sake.

So here in the holy dark I am hidden.

Just waiting to be free.

A bit of knowledge forbidden,

waiting for my chance to be.
