The Forest Face

Beware

Look closely

And you will see

A face staring back

At you from the trees

It watches you as

You come, and you go

Silently judging you

While you sit

around your fires

It stares at you

While you mow

your lawns

Look closely

And you will see

The forest face

Staring back at you

Beware the face

If you stare too long,

it will

Drive you

mad

crazy

Insane

For it is just waiting

For you to slip up

And walk too close

Where the face

will eat you up

Beware The Forest Face

It will make you

Deranged

Demented

Unbalanced

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.
