The fog is thick this morning.
The window tint, a greenish-white haze as if the panes are frosted glass.
The tree across the yard has disappeared.
Inside, everything is just as obscured, fuzzy, insubstantial, missing its boundaries.
I’m walking around the house, glasses off, wondering where I’ve been all these years.
If I step outside and walk to the tree, I can reassure myself it’s still there.
