The fly I let go

The ego I let go

Round and round

Around the ground

Buzzing in the town

The fly lay beneath for a sound

The fly I latched on to.

**

Hovering over the flame in astound

Attracting every insect around

For a play of profound

Striking a meaning into life

The stalling time, melting down to strife

A burn to the wings

A moment of silence, the fly found

**

Lighting the dying flame

Under the guarding lantern

Staring down the burn

Seeping into the gown

The soots around,

**

Round and round

I lay beneath for a sound

embracing the blown crown

**

Poof!

off the ground

The fly I let go

About the Creator

Parvathi J

Through my pages, I find the quiet complexities of pain dwelling in a solitary space, burdening life’s endless demands, and unburdening the voiceless noise.

Witnessing the questioning, I speak the deeper silence of my voice.

This has such a haunting, almost hypnotic rhythm. Beautiful words.
