In shadows' grip, the flames took flight,

Across the valleys, devouring light,

With crackling whispers, winds aglow,

A dance of vibrant orange and woe.

Once peaceful hills, now charred and bare,

Where wildlife thrived, now smoke fills the air,

Homes relinquished to the raging tide,

Nature's fury cannot be denied.

In the morn, the sun becomes a ghost,

A muted hue, a specter most,

Where children played by the river’s side,

Now families flee, and in grief they bide.

The trees, weep, their branches torn,

In ash they curl, a life reborn,

Yet from the cinders, hope flickers bright,

For in despair, there lies the fight.

Brave souls arise, with courage clad,

Firefighters toil, hearts ironclad,

Against the blaze that seeks to devour,

They stand as one, a wall of power.

In every ember, a story told,

Of struggles fierce, of hearts bold,

With every breath, a prayer is sent,

For those who’ve lost, for lives now spent.

But through this tragedy, we shall learn,
