Inspired By Gautam Buddha Quotes
“There is no fire like passion, there is no shark like hatred, there is no snare like folly, there is no torrent like greed.”
Passion burns bright like a raging fire,
Consuming hearts with intense desire.
Wild and unchecked, it grows ever higher,
Though it can create, it can also inspire.
Hatred cuts deep like a shark's tooth,
Tearing away hope and divine truth.
Its darkness spreads, poisoned and uncouth,
Leaving trails of ruin in its berth.
Folly ensnares like meshes of vice,
Its tempted bait entraps like device.
Once caught, escape takes a heavy price,
For wisdom is snared by its false promise.
Greed flows free like a torrent unbound,
Drowning conscience in its swirling sound.
Never fulfilled, its hunger abounds,
Clutching at more until all has drowned.
These fires rage within humanity,
Capable of both good and inhumanity.
We must tend our hearts mindfully,
To cultivate virtue's fairer flame.
