There's ash falling around me

The sky alight with orange flame

The flame, devouring everything I see

Consuming all your shame

I lost myself again

I tore my voice on all your lies

Built you empires with my hands

But every kiss was just disguise

A throne of salt, in sinking sands

You fed me silence, cruel and cold

Then blamed me for the frost

I begged for warmth, for truth, for hold

You smiled, and counted what I’d lost

Now watch the world you touched decay

Each broken vow set fire to air

Your laughter echoes as it frays

But I’m not running anywhere

I'll stand amidst the crumbling stone

The blaze a crown upon my head

You made this hell, I made it home

And danced while everything you said

Turned black, and finally bled

Great flow in this poem. Sometimes rhyme schemes feel a little contrived, but not the case here. It makes the lines feel more punctuated and deliberate. I think it actually helps elevate the theme of resilience.
