The Fire

About life.

By Jason Ray Morton Published 9 months ago 1 min read

Filling the gap from the stars in the eyes

Be not still when the door offers you comfort

Let not your feet be stuck in the sands of time

None comes to the aid those who would be listless in their cry's

--

All must be allowed to dance into the night's embrace

Hear the music's rhythmic pounds remind one they're alive

Tell all to live until the mystic sounds are there no more

Enjoy the moment, forever fleeting as it is, until the light does dim

--

Move with unquenchable hungers pushing you from inside

Roll into all things, the master of what escapes you as you make it yours

Do not let doubt or troubles haunt your dreams

Hands in the air against all that would deny you

--

Roll into each and every day and dance into the night

Never be too weary to let your body feel the groove of things

Notice not distracting glimpses of what you want today

Run to the dance before the rhythm ends

--

Feel the fire's warm love guide you through the dark

Its enveloping arms embrace and surround you with might

Live, live, live, until the dying of life's light

Dance into the night until the fire does dim
