It’s a love you know

I’ve tried to explain

Eases my sorrow

Helps with my pain

The essence of my existence

Even from a distance

There is no pretense

A love that frustrates

Time and time again

From paper and pen

Yet here I am trying again

To create something new

A love that is ever so true

The hope, the wander

Somewhere beyond the wild yonder

As my story does unfold

Shall it become

One that is told

Hard to explain to those who do not write

The beauty, the joy

of when

You catch sight

Of that ending that

Kept you up all night

When characters come alive

And leave your mind

How will they survive

Without you to decide

who will be evil

And who will be kind

They wait on your devotion

The outpouring of your soul

To give them emotion

Which only you can control

And when their story is complete

Which is certainly not an easy feat

When the lovers then hold

Each other at last

You take a deep breath

For all that has past

Two have become one

And the fairy tale

The fairy tale

Has only just begun.

I like the weaving of the character's fate as you reflect on the process.
