“I can’t love him”

She said as the fairy danced around her head

“Why not?” The fairy asked

“Because the mold is cast. He is promised to another.”

“Yes, but he is welcoming you in. You know his heart is true. He wouldn’t invite you, if there were no room for you.”

“Yes, but I am afraid…”

“Afraid of what?” The fairy asked

“I’m afraid of how the world will see it. I’m afraid of the pain. What if he hurts me?”

“There is no life without pain, my love. That is the unfortunate reality of existence. No matter how much we may resist it, there will always be pain. As for how the world will see it. Who cares? Let them gawk and stare. The only thing in life that makes the pain tolerable is love. It is the love that we give each other that makes this world tolerable.”

It's a good think "Sue" didn't think like that. She wasn't concerned about my husband being married. She wanted him and he wanted her..... he left. Good thing, too because I've been much happier.
