The Explosion Within

Unheard cries and unspoken words

By Rohitha LankaPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

Suddenly, a volcano

Appeared from her bed

She was breathing heavily

The burning debris inside her body was slowly burning the inside

She looked around

There were people around her who knew

How could it explode

She thought so

But that was wrong

No one knew her

If they had, would they have allowed her to burn so much?

If there was one person, she would have only needed one word to extinguish it,

And she would have known it

And she would have continued to burn

And the smoke would have spread

And those who had forgotten that she existed would have remembered her,

And they would have said

Don't explode

It's not about exploding, it's about living on the road

And they would have shouted

It's too late

Sorry

It's hard to do it again

She said slowly.

I'm exploding now.

Aww so heartbreaking. Why didn’t anyone save her, even if they didn’t know her? Excellent story.
