A peek into the holocaust

Where the stones whisper of the past

and the rivers of the blood been shed.

Where every echo is of lives now lost

and every breeze murmuring of a pain now known in silence.

-

Where betrayal and hardened hearts

replaced the symphony of motherly love.

Where six million souls breathe to be avenged

and the skies still grace of the black of the smoke.

-

Where brothers united in tears and pain

to try to save each other's future.

Where children were shot still with their smiles

and mothers with their babies in their arms.

-

Where the unfathomable somehow unfolded.

And eternal people yet again the target of evil.

Where laughter of the Shtetl now in deathly silence

with only unshed tears as the untold witnesses.

-

Where one after another in glory and grace

another beautiful life snuffed out for G-d.

With the pride only man with purpose can posses.

Another proud death, but a Jew to the end.

-

Where the inner values were forced outward

and the strength of a nation in scars.

Where generations retell of the light within hell

And those generations of this eternal Nation...

Somehow still lives on!
