Take a moment
Rest your wandering eyes
Ponder this sight
With only your mind
Azure Heavens
A golden moon
A gentle breeze from the water's edge
Its cooling caress nudges you along
A beautiful maiden glides along the water's surface
Slowly she decends into it's depths
Deeper and deeper she goes
Crystal blue eyes pierce your soul
Deeper and deeper she goes
Caught in the gaze
The calming madness catches you in it's trance
Hypnotized
The moon's rays encapsulate you in it's light
The wind roars
Deeper and deeper
The water reaches the nape of her neck
She stops, you hold your breath
Curious...
Her mouth moves
On the wind you hear her whisper
"I could leave today and wash this pain away,
I could leave today and be free of these shackles.
How nice it must be to never worry...
To frolic and be merry.
"But alas I cannot.
To many wounds to bare..
Too much sorrow...
O' water of life, end my suffering!
"Wash away this pain!
Wash away this sorrow!
Was away this life!
Let me be reborn again!"
A silent scream leaves your lips
The water rushes above the maiden's head
The strengh in your legs fails you as the moon's light dissipate
Suddenly you are sobbing on the ground
The ripples on the water
The bubbles that escape
Last fragments of life
Its too much to bare
A sparkle of silver gliding through the water
Graceful and elegant
Could it be?
A flash of light
A trick of the light?
The water's surface once again undisturbed
A peaceful aura once again settles upon you
Is she gone?
Mind racing in contemplation
Who? What? How? Why?
The terror, the hope, the beauty...
The insanity?
