The End of Us

Fading memories of a love that once was

By Angelina w. (Poet)Published 3 years ago 1 min read

The end of us, it brings me to my knees,

Our love was once so bright, but now it's gone,

Fading memories of a love that once was pleased.

The laughter and the joy, just distant seas,

The dreams we shared, now just a distant dawn,

The end of us, it brings me to my knees.

A love that once was strong, now brought to ease,

By words unspoken, and the wounds that spawn,

Fading memories of a love that once was pleased.

We thought our love would last an eternity,

But life had other plans, and now it's done,

The end of us, it brings me to my knees.

So let us find the strength to set us free,

And build a love that will forever shine,

Fading memories of a love that once was pleased.
