The End of Us

The End of a Chapter: Navigating the Painful Reality of Letting Go and Finding Hope in the Future

By LauraPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

The end of us, a bitter pill,

A love that's lost, without a thrill.

The moments passed, like autumn leaves,

And in our hearts, a pain that cleaves.

The end of us, a heavy weight,

A love that's lost, without a gate.

The words we spoke, the tears we shed,

Leaves us adrift, without a bed.

The end of us, a painful sting,

As we realize, that love can't bring.

The happiness, we thought we'd find,

Has left us with, an empty mind.

The end of us, a mournful tune,

As we say goodbye, to the afternoon.

The love we shared, now just a memory,

Leaves us with pain, like an injury.

But in our hearts, a hope will bloom,

And we'll find our way, beyond the gloom.

For though we part, and love must end,

We'll find our way, and learn to mend.

The end of us, a new beginning,

As we find our way, and start our spinning.

And though our hearts may still be sore,

We'll find the strength, to love once more.
