The End

A Poem

The end of one world

Is the beginning of another

Like a child

Slipping from its mother

Life is a journey

Of yearning

We used to live

Now we spend all of our time earning

Earning money

Earning love and affection

Lives lived without direction

Wandering aimlessly

Down paths of unhappiness

Watching and waiting

Waiting for the collapse?

Perhaps

Waiting for something new to begin

Waiting for everything to be right again

Waiting for a future that is always around the next turn

Never realizing

We’ve always lived in the future

The past doesn’t exist beyond our imagination

So, stop living in procrastination

Here and now indeed!! 🙌 I’m often in past and future too much. Suddenly I drop the ball and I can’t get back properly to present, which seems to have happened with me the last couple of weeks. Any tips please? Ha! 😄

Your poem was such an accurate reflection of our fast-paced world and way of life.
