The Empty Frame

A Nonet

By Kyle HulbertPublished about a year ago 1 min read

On my shelf, your silver-framed picture

once held vigil over my sleep.

Now the frame's empty, tarnished,

because you chose to leave.

Now I sleep alone

without your eyes

to see me

while I

cry.
