The Edge of What Could Be

What if the leap ends in a fall?

By Raymond BentumPublished about a year ago 1 min read

A horizon shimmers, soft and near,

Where dreams take root, defying fear.

Each step we take, each choice we face,

Leads us closer to that boundless space.

A whisper hums on the restless breeze,

A song of chances among the trees.

The unknown calls, both wild and free,

Standing here, on the edge of what could be.

Beneath our feet, the ground is thin,

A fragile line where hopes begin.

Behind us lie the paths we've known,

Ahead, a realm where seeds are sown.

What if the leap ends in a fall?

What if the dream is nothing at all?

Yet, what if wings take flight unseen,

And weave a future from the in-between?

The stars above, they shine and sway,

Guiding hearts that lose their way.

Each one was born from chaos, fire,

Now beacons of endless desire.

So here we stand, between the now and when,

On the cusp of "if" and "will it happen again?"

Embrace the pull, the ache, the plea,

And step boldly to the edge of what could be.
