A quiet overtakes, the earth sleeps

I walk upon a carpet of past life lost

Vibrant colors covered in white, surround me

Their color lost

Comforted by a silence, fills the air and surrounds me

The earth sleeps, and quiet falls the world

Skies darken over a barren snow-glazed forest

That beautiful silence overtakes

Snow falls all around me and deafens the world

The earth sleeps, in a moment I realize

As I walk upon a carpet of past life lost

Left behind that vibrant chill, calling forth this time of rest

The skies darken over a land made barren and beautiful

The earth sleeps

That reverent silence overtakes

Quiet falls the world, its color lost
