The eDgE

Decision point 101

By TeeWrightPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

O’er the edge

It’s a crossing or a stumbling

O’er the edge

It’s a forward or a backward

O’er the edge

It’s a tipping point

O’er the edge

After the edge

It’s an acknowledgement or a rude awakening

After the edge

It’s a blessing or regret

After the edge

It’s an ‘Had-I-known’ or

A ‘Yeah, I’m glad I did it’

After the edge

The edge

The brink

The point of decision making

A turning point or a tumbling point

A fine-tuning or a no-tuning

A risky point, tainted with Frisson

The excitement or fear is palpable

The heart palpitates in a strange manner

The tension can be cut with a knife

At the edge

You ask me what the edge really is

I’ll tell you

Those milliseconds before you make that decision

When you weigh right and wrong

Good and bad

Positives and negatives

And finally make a decision

That is ‘the edge’

Watch what you settle for at the edge

Cos every end boils down to what you chose

At the edge

And may virtue continually flow from the heart to the pen to the paper...,

surreal poetry
