CREEPY CRAWLERS GUMMIES OUTSTAGES CAFE EVENT

By Vicki Lawana Trusselli Published 2 months ago 1 min read
Trusselli Art, OUTSTAGES CAFE HALLOWEEN

The door creaked back, the silence spoke,

A candy grin, a memory choked.

Footsteps echo, truth will not hide

The mask remembers who has died.

Undo the night, rewind the scream,

This treat was born inside a dream.

Shorter than your other work but just as potent. I think I got a cavity from the sweetness of this surreal candy-coated poem. Happy Halloween! —S.S.
