The Distance

A Poem

Across the wide expanse of space and time,

A space vast, yet not too far to climb,

Stretches out before us, a great divide,

A chasm is deep that we must learn to stride.

For though the miles may separate our feet,

Our hearts and souls are never incomplete,

Connected still by threads of love and light,

That binds us fast and guides us through the night.

So do not fear the distance that we face,

For it is but a fleeting moment's grace,

A chance to grow and learn and understand,

The depths of love that lie within our hands.

And though the road ahead may seem so long,

We'll journey on with faith and hope and song,

And find our way back home, where we belong,

Together, where the heart can never be wrong.
