I was dead but lived!

A poltergeist by design,

and drop dead gorgeous.

**

I, of course, fought death,

but in the end was flouted--

a fine rose drowned.

**

I digress, and yet

continue just as lovely,

charming, perfect me.

Author's Note:

Written 7 Years Ago.

Original Note: This is written from the self's point of view who has been put to death via humility but thrives from the inside and plans her next escapade.

Additional Notes: I continually come back to this poem as one of my favourites of my early 20's. Thank you for reading!
