The day you lost a loved one

The day I lost a loved one was one of the toughest days of my life.

The day I lost a loved one,

My heart felt like it had come undone.

The pain was sharp, the wound so deep,

And all I wanted was for them to keep.

They had been a shining light,

A source of love, a guiding sight.

But now they're gone, and I'm alone,

With nothing left but memories grown.

It's hard to find the words to say,

To express the hurt that's come my way.

For losing someone close to you,

Can leave a void that nothing can undo.

But still, I hold onto the past,

And the love that forever will last.

For even though they're not here,

Their spirit will always be near.

So I'll take comfort in my pain,

And find the strength to start again.

For though my loved one may be gone,

Their memory will live on.
