The Day I Never Want To Forget.
As The Rain Plays It's Melody.
I loved you with all my heart.
I gave it to you with hope
and a future to beat.
It was quite a feat;
capturing your heart.
But in the end i won out
and together we were.
I’d never been more happy,
than when cuddled
between your arms.
Never let me go.
I dont want to forget this moment.
This peaceful scene -
with the rain hitting the windows
as we snuggle up inside.
Thoughts only of you
occupying my mind.
These are the times
I feel the most alive.

Our Love Grew.
This is the second post I ever made on my poetry blog when I created it a little over three years ago now. I remember being so shy and nervous about letting a larger audience potentially see my work than the small UK poetry forum I had begun writing and sharing my poetry on when I was just 18. That site was a bit more private you couldn't just go on and view people's profiles and written works unless you were a member already.

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
