The Darkest Day

Words can never express sorrow enough

The Darkest Day

The darkest day, you left us here,

A silent world, a hollow fear.

The echoes of your laughter stay,

A light that never fades away.

Your pain is gone, your fight is through,

No more the weight that burdened you.

But in our hearts, you still reside,

A guiding star, forever bright.

We ache, we grieve, yet through the pain,

We know one day, we’ll meet again.

Until that time, rest soft, rest free.

Your soul at peace, eternally.

This is Dedicated to my Sister In Law Brenda who sadly passed away today.
