Beneath the sky's eternal span,

A waltz begins, as time began.

Two partners twirl, in endless flight,

The golden Day, the velvet Night.

A smile upon the sun's bright face.

Her rays caress the waking earth,

A symphony of life and mirth.

The birds take flight, the rivers gleam,

The world is bathed in morning's dream.

Her laughter echoes, warm and clear,

The Day grows weary in the shade.

She bows her head, her light now dim,

And Night steps forth, serene and slim.
