What has accured, I accept.
All that has happened, all that foul water under the bridge, that changed me, I accept this,
and in accepting, I embrace all that I am. Including my crutch.
The crutch, it has served me well. Enabling me to continue, enabling me to carry the burden of the past. Heavy as it can be at times.
This crutch has become me, it is I and I am it. As much a part of me as any physical embodiment.
Now, after many years of hiding it, I sometimes carry it openly. Trying to reveal that is no crutch at all, rather it is my strength.
