The Cranberry Sauce Redemption
A Thanksgiving Poem
“Give thanks for overlooked wonders.” - Michelle Liew
**********************************************************************
On the shelf, in the dark, it sat and sighed
A ruby-red thrill, with its presence denied
“Put down again,” it uttered, downcast
It waited to star in the feast, at last
***************************************************
With prideful vigour, it hatched a bold plan
More than a sauce in a thanksgiving grand
“I’ll prove my worth, will make them all find
That this feast’s not the same without cranberry divine!”
***************************************************
The turkey did grumble, the gravy was spilled
As guests despaired, the room quickly chilled
Panic arose as the feast fell apart
But the cranberry sauce played its delicious part.
***************************************************
With a flip of the dish, in heroic display,
Its delightful tang saved the feast that day.
A bright condiment, with its courageous oomph
The zesty sauce filled hearts with cranberry triumph.
***************************************************
With its proud name, it went viral on feeds
A hashtag hero, viral sauce for all needs.
Forever remembered, it stands like a boss
Each Thanksgiving feast now starts with the sauce.

I've never had cranberry sauce before. But as long as there's mashed potatoes and gravy, I'm a happy kid hehehehe
What an adorable frolic with your hero C. Sauce!🤩 Not having Thanksgiving dinners nor turkey, I only know C.S. by reputation.🥹
This sounds like it could become the "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" of Thanksgiving Stories haha. It was a lot of fun to read!
