You said you loved me, soft and true,

So I gave my heart, a gift to you.

You swore you’d never break away,

So I let my soul in your hands stay.

You called it beauty, you called it perfection,

You bathed in love, in deep connection.

You whispered dreams, you laughed, you stayed,

And in your arms, my trust was laid.

Our love was fire, wild yet kind,

Uninhibited, playful, our bodies entwined.

Open, gentle, so deeply in sync,

Every touch a promise, every breath a link.

You swore you’d stand through storm and rain,

To hold my hand, to bear my pain.

You dried my tears, you calmed my fears,

You swore you’d stay for endless years.

And yet, as quickly as a tide,

You turned away, you cast aside.

With breath so cold, so void of grace,

You left me there, in empty space.

The confusion swirls inside my mind,

I don’t know what, I don’t know why,

What made you disappear, not even goodbye?

It’s grey, it’s hazy, I feel so dizzy,

Memories blur, my thoughts feel busy.

But I will reclaim my footing, stand tall,

Find my balance, and rise through it all.

My balance lost, my skies turned blue.
